Player Development and Education at Heart of Mission

MEDIA ALERT

WHAT:    Leadership from the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) — Executive Vice President Josh Prutch — is in Morocco this week with one of its league teams, AC Syracuse Pulse and that club’s owner, Samir Belhseine, on a humanitarian mission that builds bridges with America — including the opening of the AC Syracuse Pulse Youth Academy in Morocco, which blend athletics with education. AC Syracuse recently entered into a mutual partnership with Regional Football League — Laayoune Sakia El Hamra in Morocco to strengthen and activate the capabilities of all age groups.

WHY:    AC Syracuse and Laayoune Sakia El Hamra agreed to promote and develop football in both regions and achieve a brighter vision for football in Morocco.  AC Syracuse Pulse will be providing more than 100 complete soccer uniforms, plus 100 professional soccer balls, hats and gear, and hundreds of books, for the youth of the new academy in Laayoune.

In addition, two doctors and a chief clinical officer with Operation Walk New York will begin efforts to assist those suffering from knee ailments by providing 25 walkers and injecting 100 select patients with cortisone shots. The medical team will also conduct an assessment for returning in fall 2022 with 35 medical professionals to perform 100 orthopedic surgical procedures.

The AC Syracuse travel party also will explore opportunities for American business investments.
