CHICAGO (September 18, 2024) – Today the National Independent Soccer Association announced its August Performers of the Month honors. Statistics are analyzed by NISA official stats partner Wyscout and winners are determined by a select set of NISA front office staff.

• Player of the Month: Player who demonstrated his abilities on the field above and beyond any other player in the league.
  • Elijah Amo – Maryland Bobcats FC: Forward Amo takes the monthly title from his teammate Darwin Espinal after tallying three goals in three matches.
• Coach of the Month: Coach who led his team to significant results and led by example both on and off the field.
  • Alex Kao – Maryland Bobcats FC: MBFC extended its regular season winning streak to 13 matches under Kao with a win and two draws in August. It is his third honor of the season and second straight.
• Club of the Month: An off the field award to the Club that best promoted its brand and image within its local community.
  • Savannah Clovers FC: The club earned its second honor of the season the honor.

    • 8/14 Train Like a Pro Camp allowed youth players to receive:
      • A free ticket and team photo
      • Matchday experience meeting players and coaches with pitch-side warm up and post-game autographs
      • A locker room visit to see the technical side of the game with talks from the Coach Proctor and SCFC Assistant Coaches.
      • One-hour training session
      • A half-time 4v4 mini game
    • 8/19: A return of the Kick Hunger Program with Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia and Kroger. Clovers fans donated canned food and non-perishable items.
• Operations Team of the Month: Awarded to the Match Day Operations staff who best embraced and followed the league standards set forth by the league office.
  • Maryland Bobcats FC: Maryland Bobcats FC hosted twice in the month of August, providing an excellent matchday experience for both of opposing teams and fans. The club featured jersey raffles, mascot appearances, half-time challenges, and more during last month's games.
    
    MBFC also added an unanticipated trip to Virginia on their August calendar following rescheduled dates in the NISA Independent Cup. After that match, it lifted the East Region trophy with a win over Golden Ball FC (Norfolk, Va.) August 11.
