Knockout Round Preview: Potentially Wet Weather Could Have An Impact

Oct 19, 2025

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (October 19, 2025) - Semifinal round matches are notorious for producing some of the top moments of any given tournament.

The anticipation of a spot in the NISA Pro Cup Championship Final, combined with potentially wicked weather, could mean highlights to be remembered.

Here are the matchups:

Los Angeles Force (2-1-0) vs. Northern Colorado Hailstorm (2-0-1)
Sunday, 10 a.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Dome Field

It has been a lot tougher than expected for Los Angeles Force, eeking out a shootout win over Peak XI FC and and a 1-0 win over DC Hyper despite playing with just 10 men for more than 60 minutes. Joel Quist has been a consistent goal scoring threat, and could challenge for the tournament's Golden Boot if he can continue to find the back of the net. Northern Colorado Hailstorm bounced back from 2-1 loss to Capo FC on Matchday 2 with a 1-0 win over Sin City FC on a second-half goal from NISA veteran Travis Ward on Friday. Hailstorm will need more than one goal, however, to beat the defending NISA champions.

Capo FC (2-1-0) vs. Peak XI FC (1-1-1)
Sunday, 10:30 a.m. ET | RokuTV & NISA+ | Turf Field

The entire roster contributed in Capo FC's 6-0 win over Modesto City FC on Friday so this is a team that's feeling good and playing well. Daniel Segal got his first two goals of the tournament, and Jonathan Estrada bagged his third in three matches as the team went wild on offense. Will they need to have saved some of those goals with rain in the forecast? Peak XI FC has risen from last picked to legit contender and has been the only team to take a point from Los Angeles Force. Matchday 3 goal scorer Ethan Loomis, who recently played for Ventura County SC in MLS Next Pro, is among the many top recruits brought into the team by general manager Don Harmon for the tournament.
