Travis Ward grew up in Ocean County, N.J., where he began playing soccer at New Egypt High School. The 6-foot-1 forward spent 2014-2017 at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. He was named to the NJAC All-Conference team three times and earned the title of CSI tournament MVP in 2016. In his 70 appearances for the school, he managed 29 goals and 16 assists despite missing eight games in his senior season with an injury. He spent 2018 with the Philadelphia Fury, scoring four goals and assisting on five others in 10 appearances in the American Soccer League. The New Jersey native then went to the Triumph. He tallied 4 goals and 5 assists in 10 games played. He went to the Michigan Stars because it was a great opportunity for him to continue his professional career and play at a high level with great players. Travis is looking forward to a very successful 2020 NISA season and hopes Michigan Stars will compete for a championship, bring a community together, and grow with the State of Michigan that loves the game of soccer.
